I have a love of collecting beach glass along the southern shores of Lake Michigan. My goal is to share my love of this glass with others through jewelry and useful objects. Beach Glass is glass that has been tumbled through the Lake and polished to a smooth finish by the sand and water, sometimes for centuries. My collection offers bottle tops and bottoms, and many shapes and sizes of the pieces of glass. They range in shades of green, brown and clear (white) and once in a while you can find some beautiful blues, reds and once I even found an orange piece. Occasionally you will also find pieces of pottery or milk-glass that was used in the 1800’s and early 1900’s on ships that traveled the Great Lakes.

I grew up in Chicago, at the very Southeast edge of the city along the Indiana border. I have lived in Hammond, IN for almost 20 years and spend as much time as possible – in all seasons – along the southern-most tip of Lake Michigan. The beaches and Lake Michigan are where I go to unwind and relax, and collecting beach glass assists in that need.
