I’ve been working on a project for a good friend.  She gave me three candle holders and asked me to add some glass to them.  They’re three different sizes, and I’m about 3/4 of the way done with the largest and the smallest.  I’ve done the same pattern on both, and am debating about maybe doing an “opposite” pattern on the third.  We’ll see how it comes out.

Last night I took a small piece of lace from my mother’s wedding dress and glued it to the back of a piece of beach glass china I’ve had for a while, then glued a pin back to it all.  I think it came out ok.  Waiting for the glue to dry thoroughly (24 hours) before taking a photo to post.  It was an idea I had and last night I just decided to see how it would come out.  I have more lace to use, and I swear I have more somewhere, if I could remember where I put it.  I used the lace prior to Christmas to create memento-ornaments for different family members.  I made one for myself and one for my daughter, as well as my daughter-in-law (who loved it!), my sister, my niece and my sister-in-law.  I haven’t given the others theirs yet, as we decided to wait until Easter to get together with everyone.  My sister had hip replacement surgery just before Christmas and since we usually have it at her house, we didn’t want to make any extra work for her.

This past Sunday I couldn’t stand my beach-visit withdrawl symptoms anymore, so since it was sunny out – and a high of 32 – I went over to Whihala.  Not a lot to be found, mostly nothing but ice still, but I did find a few things.  And I took this picture which I ended up really liking:

I’ll take some photos of the new pin tonight.
